ARTIST STATEMENT
My work sits at the intersection of childhood fairytales and lived reality.
Beginning from my own use of fantasy as a way of mapping personal trauma, the work focuses on that meeting point where the two converge: where 'make-believe' is allowed to seep into reality to process the emotional residue of real experience.
More recently, I have begun to explore how inherited cultural and familial narratives manifest within us in the present, quietly shaping both the emotional frameworks we carry inside and the ways of being we project outward, long after childhood ends.
